“diagnosed with”与“diagnosed as”用法辨析

当主语是“人”的时候，一般用“diagnosed with”，如：The patient was diagnosed with liver cancer.

当主语是“疾病”的时候，一般用“diagnosed as”，如：The disease was diagnosed as liver cancer.

最常见的错误类型是：The patient was diagnosed as liver cancer.

如果一定要以“人”为主语同时使用“diagnosed as”的话，可以表达成：The patient was diagnosed as having liver cancer.

不过需要注意的是，如果主语是“case”，可以视其为“疾病”而不是“人”，一般与“diagnosed as”搭配，如：This case was diagnosed as liver cancer. 一般不写成：This case was diagnosed with liver cancer，也不用写成：This case was diagnosed as having liver cancer.
