Submission of an open access article is free, but if it is accepted for publication, authors are asked to pay a fee to have their article made open access immediately upon publication, unless the corresponding author belongs to an institution signed up to one of our Read & Publish agreements or qualifies for a waiver. The charges are：£1995 GBP /$2795 USD /€2395 EUR
From 1st March 2023, all reviews will be published Open Access. If you require an Open Access waiver, please contact the editorial office proceedingsb@royalsociety.org.

The following article types are free to publish Open Access (no APC is payable): Editorials; Perspectives; Invited Reviews; Comments/Replies; Corrections, Retractions and Expressions of concern.
期刊简介：Proceedings of the Royal Society B-Biological Sciences《英国皇家学会会刊B：生物科学》（半月刊）. Proceedings B is the Royal Society’s flagship biological research journal, accepting original articles and reviews of outstanding scientific importance and broad general interest. The main criteria for acceptance are that a study is novel, and has general significance to biologists. Articles published cover the breadth of the biological sciences; many but not all articles have direct relevance to organisms and the environments in which they live. The scope of articles that we publish includes, but is not limited to: behaviour, development, physiology, ecology, evolution, genetics, genomics, global change, conservation, morphology, biomechanics, neuroscience, cognition and paleobiology. Authors are encouraged to submit articles not only in these fields, but in all branches of biology.
