The Journal of Pathology offers authors the option to publish their articles Open Access: immediately free to read, download, and share.
If the Open Access option is selected, submissions will be subject to an APC if accepted and published in the journal: $5,450 USD / £3,620 GBP / €4,600 EUR
There are no submission or page charges but please note that a colour charge is added for all figures supplied in colour for accepted papers. As of 1 January 2022, authors choosing open access with one of the CC-BY licenses will not have colour charges applied, provided their paper is accepted on or after 1 January.
Colour images
The cost of printing colour illustrations in the journal is currently £400 per colour figure and will be charged to the author. Figures submitted in colour must be published in colour and we have no option for online only colour.
