相关费用：有费用︾Submission fee. Beginning May 12, 2025, all manuscripts submitted to the journal must be accompanied by a submission fee of $100. No editorial decision will be rendered until the fee has been paid. Submission fees are non-refundable. Please note that credit card charges are collected through the University of Chicago Press business office and will appear as PRESS BOOKS and JOURNALS on your credit card statement.
Gold open access. The gold OA option is provided primarily for authors with research funding from an organization that mandates gold OA as a condition of publication and does not permit green OA as a route to compliance. The fee is $2,500. This request should be made at the time of submission, but not later than the time of acceptance. It is expected that the funder and the grant will be noted in the acknowledgments of the manuscript in the conventional manner. Articles published as gold OA are made available under a CC BY-NC license. If a CC BY or other license is required by your funding body, please notify the editorial office at the time you submit your manuscript. Articles published under a CC BY license are subject to an additional fee.

The Journal of Legal Studies publishes interdisciplinary academic research that tests or develops a particular legal or social scientific theory about law and legal institutions, including short submissions that critique or extend articles published in previous issues of the JLS. The JLS emphasizes social science approaches, especially those of economics, political science, and psychology, but it also publishes the work of historians, philosophers, and others who are interested in legal theory. The Journal was founded in 1972.
