If you choose to publish open access in this journal you may be asked to pay an Article Publishing Charge (APC).

2、Publication Charges
Due to rapidly increasing submission volumes, Accounting and Business Research is introducing a submission fee of $160 USD per article from January 2024. Fees are payable via a credit card or PayPal at the time of submission. The fee is incurred for the submission of an original manuscript, and there is no fee for resubmissions. The submission fee is non-refundable in all cases, including when the submission is desk rejected.
Colour figures will be reproduced in colour in your online article free of charge. If it is necessary for the figures to be reproduced in colour in the print version, a charge will apply.
Charges for colour figures in print are £300 per figure ($400 US Dollars; $500 Australian Dollars; €350). For more than 4 colour figures, figures 5 and above will be charged at £50 per figure ($75 US Dollars; $100 Australian Dollars; €65). Depending on your location, these charges may be subject to local taxes.

Papers may cover any area of accounting, broadly defined and including corporate governance, auditing and taxation. However the focus must be accounting, rather than (corporate) finance or general management. Authors may take a theoretical or an empirical approach, using either quantitative or qualitative methods. They may aim to contribute to developing and understanding the role of accounting in business.
