It represents the conviction that German Language and Literature is an international, cross-border area that exceeds all political boundaries. As an official forum the yearbook affords the opportunity to discuss central problems of the discipline, to inform about ongoing or planned research projects and to establish through reports and notes contacts with the various camps of the global discipline.
