When a paper is accepted for publication, all authors must sign a ‘Licence to Publish’ agreement on the Oxford University Press’s Author Services website. Authors may choose between the Open Access options, which carry a charge and allow the paper to be freely accessible to all users; or a standard licence, which does not carry a charge and makes the paper available to JXB subscribers.
Authors have the following options when publishing articles in JXB:
1、Publish for free under a Standard Licence to Publish. This means that the paper will be published under subscription control for twelve months after publication. Occasionally, JXB may make papers with a non-Open Access licence free to read upon publication – in these cases, copyright restrictions still apply and permission is required for reuse.
2、Publish under an Open Access Licence upon payment of an article processing charge (APC). Open Access articles are published under Creative Commons licences.

期刊简介：Journal of Experimental Botany《实验植物学期刊》（一年22期）. The aim of Journal of Experimental Botany (JXB) is to publish papers that advance our understanding of plant biology. Original research should provide new information on fundamental processes or mechanisms including those underpinning the improvement of plants for the sustainable production of food, fuel and renewable materials. When considering if a paper is suitable, consideration will be given to the breadth and significance of the work to the plant science community.
