Open Access Charges
No Article Processing Charges (APCs) For Submissions Through December 31, 2025.
Journal of Applied Physics is open access (OA) in 2025, at no charge to authors, as part of AIP Publishing's Subscribe to Open pilot program. All articles published in the journal in 2025 are now fully OA. Any articles published from January 1, 2025 onward, including submissions in 2025 that are published in 2026, are published under a Creative Commons license. All APC charges for 2025 articles are waived, and all the content published in 2025 remains OA in perpetuity.
