The Journal of Applied Botany and Food Quality charges an article processing charge of 400€ (incl. VAT) for all manuscripts submitted after January 1st, 2020, which are accepted for publication.
Waiver policy
Members of the publishing societies German Society for Quality Research on Plant Foods and the Section Applied Botany of the German Botanical Society are exempt from paying the article processing charge, since this is included in their respective membership fees.
Furthermore, the Journal of Applied Botany and Food Quality acknowledges the diverse financial environments our authors work in and is committed to help researchers overcome any financial barriers to publication. Thus, the Journal of Applied Botany and Food Quality offers discounts on the article processing charge on two different levels.

40% discount (APC 260€) – submissions from low middle income economies
