我校主办国际学术期刊《Human Settlements and Sustainability》创刊号正式发布

近日,由我校主办的国际学术期刊《Human Settlements and Sustainability》(《人居环境与可持续发展》,简称HSS,ISSN 3050-6077)创刊号正式发布。该刊的推出,是我校城乡人居环境可持续发展研究领域的重要成果,标志着我校国际学术期刊建设取得新突破。
HSS期刊聚焦城乡人居环境可持续发展核心议题,秉承“多维度思想和实践”的办刊理念,致力于为全球学者和政策制定者搭建高水平学术交流平台。期刊由我校杨俊教授担任主编,并组建了一支由54名国内外知名专家(包括2名两院院士、2名国家杰出青年基金获得者、4名教育部特聘教授及22名国际编委)组成的编委团队。期刊与KeAi出版社(科学出版社与爱思唯尔合资成立)合作,采用开放获取(Open Access) 出版模式,所有文章均可在ScienceDirect平台免费阅读与下载。
创刊号精选了五篇原创前沿研究文章,内容涵盖基于自然的城市灾害解决方案、城市信息流与人口流空间特征分析、生理因素对室外热舒适度影响、外债对非洲国家经济增长作用机制以及特大城市海绵城市建设等前沿热点领域。这些研究结合实证分析与理论创新,为全球可持续发展提供了新的科学视角和实践路径。
HSS期刊的创办,积极响应了联合国可持续发展目标中关于可持续城市和社区的倡议。期刊注重多学科交叉融合,覆盖环境科学、社会科学、能源等广泛领域,关注发达国家与发展中国家的多元议题,着力打造具有国际影响力的学术高地。根据发展规划,期刊出版周期前三年为季刊,之后转为双月刊,力争在五年内进入SCI和SSCI检索,成为人居环境领域国际权威学术平台。
HSS期刊是我校主办的第四个学术期刊,也是首个国际学术期刊。该刊的成功创办,是我校学科建设与科研实力持续提升的显著标志,对于进一步扩大学校学术影响力、增强国际影响力、服务国家战略和全球可持续发展事业具有重要意义。

About the journal
Aims and scope
Human
Settlements and Sustainability is an international and peer-reviewed
journal concerned with existing and emerging problems in urban and rural
human settlements, especially under the mega challenges of climate
change, urbanization, population growth, economic development, etc. The
Journal assumes and pursues to understanding and addressing all such
problems based on multi-dimensional thoughts and practices (e.g.
multi-disciplinary thinking, multi-factors coupling, multi-scale
collaboration, multi-technology integration and multi-agent linkage).
The Journal publishes original research articles, review articles, case
studies, viewpoints, policy forum, dialogue and communication about
climate change and built environment, food and agriculture, culture and
human society, poverty and development, infrastructure and resource
supply, policy and governance, equity and justice, etc. in developed and
developing countries.
Submissions are encouraged to contribute the knowledge on:
Innovative theory: New and existing theory development, classical theory criticism, transdisciplinary theory, etc.
New
research methods: Data-driven based method, big data analysis,
evidence-based method, quantitative analysis, behavior and culture
analysis.
Novel
technologies: design and restoration technology, urban and rural
planning and design, smart technologies, and other new techniques.
Evidence-based
studies: anthropogenic impact assessment and projection, human-natural
system interaction, decision support systems.
Policy
forum: governance and regulation policies, and their impacts on nature,
culture, society, environment, economy, development, engineering,
sciences, etc.
Review and progress: research progress and bibliometrics of international human settlements.
Viewpoint
and debate: dialogue and communication on best practices and some
unsuccessful cases to generate visions and ideas about future solutions.
All
articles published in this journal are subjected to a rigorous peer
view, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by
independent expert referees.

Peer review
This
journal follows a double anonymized review process. Your submission
will initially be assessed by our editors to determine suitability for
publication in this journal. If your submission is deemed suitable, it
will typically be sent to a minimum of two reviewers for an independent
expert assessment of the scientific quality. The decision as to whether
your article is accepted or rejected will be taken by our editors. This
decision is final.
Our editors are not involved in making decisions about papers which:
they have written themselves.
have been written by family members or colleagues.
relate to products or services in which they have an interest.
Any
such submissions will be subject to the journal's usual procedures and
peer review will be handled independently of the editor involved and
their research group.
manuscripts are reviewed by the editorial office. Any papers which fail
to meet the basic standards of the journal will be desk-rejected for
reasons like out of scope, ethical conflicts, high similarities, lack of
originality, flaws in research design or methods, etc. The editorial
office will reassign selected papers to the Editor-in-chief.
The
Editor-in-chief will invite multiple reviewers to review the paper or
assign an editorial board member to invite reviewers to review this
paper.
After
at least two reviewers give their reviews and comments, the
Editor-in-chief (or the assigned Editor) provides feedback to the
authors, based on reviewer comments and his own review comments.
When
the author submits the revised manuscript, the assigned editor and
Editor-in-chief will collaborate to make a final decision.
For
submissions from the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, Guest
Editor(s), other journal Board members, and authors who have conflicts
of interest with them, we ensure that the paper is handled
confidentially by a different team member.
submissions to Special Issues; if there are conflicts of interest
between the Guest Editor(s) and authors, the submissions will be handled
by another Editor from the Editorial Board who will manage the peer
review process and make the decision whether to accept or reject the
paper after peer review.
