《真菌多样性(英文)》投稿指南

Submissions
General policy
Fungal
Diversity welcomes submissions in the form of reviews, research
articles, methodology papers, taxonomic works (such as monographs), and
checklists related to fungal biology, including lichens. The official
journal language is English.
Plagiarism
Authors
are encouraged to use plagiarism detection tools when submitting their
manuscripts. Any submission with a plagiarism rate exceeding 30%, will
be rejected.
Preprint
The
submission of manuscripts previously posted as preprints, are not
considered duplicate publications. Preprints become part of the
permanent scientific record, assigned a DOI and can be cited. When
submitting a manuscript that has been posted as a preprint, please
include a link to it in the Supplementary Materials, following the
Fungal Diversity template.
Upon
acceptance, please add the following acknowledgment to your preprint:
"This article has been accepted for publication in Fungal Diversity,
published by Mushroom Research Foundation." After the article is
published online, update the preprint with this statement: "The article
was published in Fungal Diversity on [date of publication], available
online: https://doi.org/[Article DOI]."
Manuscript preparation - General requirements
For
efficient processing, manuscripts should be well-prepared in terms of
both scientific content and formatting. Please refer to the 'template'
or review the layout of the most recent publications for formatting
guidelines.

Main text and figure legends must be written in Times New Roman, 12 pt, single-spaced.
Italicize Latin names of genera and species
Avoid hyphenation throughout the manuscript (disable automatic hyphenation).
No special formatting should be applied.
Page numbering should be in the bottom right corner of each page.
papers that introduce new scientific names, authors must register the
names in the appropriate repositories and obtain Faces of Fungi numbers
for each taxon. Visit http://www.facesoffungi.org/ for more information.
Phylogenetic
trees: Authors must submit their alignment files in FASTA format at the
time of submission. If the manuscript includes more than five genera,
all alignment files must be compressed and submitted via email to
fudimrf@gmail.com. The subject of the email should be the submission ID
of the manuscript.
Submission of manuscripts
Effective from 1st July 2025, all manuscript submissions to Fungal Diversity must be made via our official submission system:

Diversity will only accept manuscripts that fit the regulations of the
journal. Any manuscript not following the 'template' will be returned
for reformatting.
Electronic submission guidelines
First submission
When submitting your manuscript, the following files are required:
A Word file of a properly structured/formatted manuscript, including the full text, tables and figures/plates,
The names, affiliations, and emails of three potential referees with cover letters.
Important:
Please ensure that all plates and tables are placed within the text at
the appropriate points where you would like them to appear in the
published article.
Submission of revised manuscripts
accepted papers, revisions must be submitted with careful attention to
formatting instructions. The revised final version should be ready for
publication, with high-quality figures and tables. Manuscripts not
properly formatted according to journal guidelines will be returned for
further revisions.
All changes in the revised version must be highlighted and reviewer responses along with rebuttals must be provided.
Figures
should be submitted separately as JPEG files, captured at a minimum of
300 dpi resolution. Single photographs requiring composite mounting are
not acceptable.
Page charges
Diversity charges a flat fee of 2,800 Euro for article processing
charges (APC). If you require a waiver for this fee, please contact the
EIC. Funds collected will support research in mycology.
Tables, Figures, and legends
Tables
should be prepared using the table format feature of your word
processor, ensuring that each data entry occupies its own cell. Do not
use tabs, spaces, graphics, or boxes.
Top-line and left-column terms should begin with a capital letter.
Avoid vertical lines in the tables.
Data
entries should be left-aligned, while numerical data should be aligned
by decimal points. For numbers less than 1, include a zero before the
decimal point (e.g. 0.1).
References
Format all references according to the 'Fungal Diversity'.
Citations should be listed alphabetically in the 'References' section and cited chronologically within the text.
Review process
1. Manuscripts first go through the admin checklist for format and plagiarism check.
2. Then the manuscript will be reviewed by EIC to determine suitability for Fungal Diversity.
3. Suitable manuscripts are assigned to a handling editor.
4. The handling editor sends the manuscript for peer review by at least two independent reviewers.
5. Reviewers provide recommendations to the handling editor.
6.
The handling editor recommends revisions, acceptance, resubmission, or
decline and following improvements and additional review if needed,
forwards the final manuscript and decision to the EIC.
7. The EIC makes the final decision and forwards accepted manuscripts to the managing editor for final proof
Proofs
acceptance, authors must submit the final version of the manuscript as a
Word file via Fungal Diversity email. Proofs will be sent as PDF files
via email and must be checked and returned within five working days. The
Fungal Diversity team is not responsible for errors not flagged within
this period.
Copyright
are encouraged to deposit their papers online for free download. They
may also reuse their data and publish it elsewhere without requiring
permission from Fungal Diversity. The journal follows a Creative Commons
Copyright License.
