Article - Sensors for Environmental Sciences
This thematic collection aims to gather the latest research and developments in the field, with primary emphasis on:
Fluorescent
Sensors: The use of fluorescent sensors to trace and identify
environmental pollutants, leveraging advanced photophysics and
photochemistry for rapid, sensitive detection.
Electrochemical
Sensors: Innovations in electrochemical sensors for direct, selective,
and sensitive measurement of environmental pollutants, including heavy
metals, organic compounds, and gases.
Surface
Acoustic Wave (SAW) Sensors: Exploring the integration of innovative
materials and designs to enhance the performance of SAW sensors, towards
real-time, ultra-sensitive detection of environmental pollutants.
Device
Design: Cutting-edge designs and microfabricated devices for
environmental monitoring, combining multifunctionality material
characteristics and device structures to optimize sensing performance.
Our
aim is not only to highlight the cutting-edge research in this arena
but also to stimulate discussions on challenges, opportunities, and
future directions. This collection invites contributions from
researchers worldwide to share their original research articles,
reviews, and perspectives. Together, we can contribute to the
