Guide for authors
【官网信息】
Introduction
Text Format and Presentation
The article should be arranged in the following parts:
Title page, including title, authors and affiliation, short title, and keywords;
Highlight;
Introduction;
Methods and Materials;
Results;
Discussion; and
Conclusion.
The text must be double-spaced.
The lines and pages must be numbered.
Highlights:
Use short and very concise sentences. Not more than one line per item
of highlight is recommended. Generally 3-5 items of highlight are
acceptable.
Reproducibility data are required.
Illustrations must have high-quality of resolution.
The reference list must be written as indicated in the MBM GfA.
Legends must be detailed as indicated in the MBM GfA.
All legends must be gathered on specific pages placed after the text and before the Tables and Figures.
Five
referees with international standing should be suggested, either whose
work is cited in the submitted work or who have been working on the
topic(s).
Please
be sure to suggest reviewers who have no conflict of interests via
personal or professional connection to any of the authors, and are not
located in the same institution(s) as the authors. At least three of the
five reviewers should be from outside of the author's country or state.
In addition, please provide a brief justification for each of your
suggested reviewer.
Language
should be carefully checked by native English user or by an English
Language Editing Service, or by a professional colleague whose English
is fluent.
Mechanobiology
in Medicine (MBM) is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal focused on
fundamental and translational research of mechanobiology by studying
the structure, function, and interrelationship within between human body
and its environment at multiple levels using principles and methods of
modern natural science and engineering technology, and trying to provide
novel insights into how mechanical inputs regulate cell behavior and
tissue homeostasis, and how their deregulation might cause disease. The
journal includes research articles, perspectives, reviews, and
communications with a focus on the mechanobiological advances for
disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Mechanobiology in Medicine includes the following focused topics and areas:
Biochips,
Biomedical technology, Cellular and molecular dynamics, Cellular
mechanical response, Cellular and molecular engineering, Drug and cell
delivery, Immunoengineering, Mechanical regulation in diseases,
Mechanical regulation in health, Mechanobiology towards clinic,
Mechanobiology in biomaterials, Mechanobiology in development,
BMechanobiomarkers and biomechanical targets and interaction,
Mechanosensor, Mechanotransduction, Modeling and simulation in
mechanobiology, Multi-tissue interaction, Multiscale mechanobiology,
Organismal morphogenesis, Regenerative medicine, Single-molecule
biophysics, Stem cell, Stress-growth relationship, Tissue and cell
remodelling, Translational medicine, and etc.
Manuscripts
and data using response surface methodology (RSM) which are mainly
descriptive, without any physiological or systemic explanation or
correlations are not suitable for submission to the journal.
Types of paper
in Medicine accepts five types of manuscripts: Full-length articles,
Short communications, Reviews, Perspectives and Correspondence.
Full-length
articles should not generally exceed 25 double-spaced pages of text
(not including the references) and should not contain more than 15
figures and/or tables.
Short
communications should not exceed 10 double-spaced pages of text (not
including the references) and no more than 5 figures and/or tables.
Reviews
should not generally exceed 30 double-spaced pages of text (not
including the references) and should not contain more than 10 figures
and/or tables.
Perspectives
discussing state-of-the-art research on emerging areas from leading
researchers in the field. Perspectives may not exceed 1500 words and 15
references.
Correspondence
articles (Letter to the Editor) discussing papers recently published in
the journal or matters of general interest to the readership will be
considered for publication. Authors of papers that are the subject of
comment will be given an opportunity to reply. Letters may not exceed
2500 words and 20 references.
Accelerated
publications can sometimes be taken into consideration. The authors
should clearly explain their request for accelerated handling in the
cover letter.
