1. ABOUT THE JOURNAL
Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Anesthesia (J Oral Maxillofac Anesth, JOMA, ISSN 2790-8852) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal focusing on anesthesia applied in oral and maxillofacial surgery, head and neck surgery, and otorhinolaryngologic surgery etc. Currently, JOMA has been indexed by Web of Science [Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)] and Scopus.
JOMA publishes articles discussing front-line issues and sharing the current situation of anesthesia applied in oral and maxillofacial surgery, head and neck surgery, and otorhinolaryngologic surgery etc, including but not limited to airway management, endotracheal intubation, induction and maintenance of general anesthesia, oral local anesthesia, oral comfort diagnostic and therapeutic procedure, as well as managing complications and emergencies that may arise during the administration of anesthesia.
As an online publishing journal, it seeks to create a platform for researchers and clinicians by presenting pertinent investigations, for discussing critical questions relevant to the entire fields of oral and maxillofacial anesthesia, and aiming to develop new perspectives for all those issues concerned with oral and maxillofacial anesthesia.
The journal features original articles, cutting-edge reviews, case reports and some short but thought-provoking articles like editorial commentaries, thus representing a source of valuable, novel information for clinical and basic researchers alike. The entire submission and review process are managed through OJS, an electronic system to increase efficiency and ensure that submissions can be published within a short turnaround period.
JOMA is published by AME Publishing Company, with support from Wolters Kluwer (the journal content will be made available on Wolters Kluwer Health’s Lippincott and Ovid platforms).
