Before you begin

Your paper your way

We

now differentiate between the requirements for new and revised

submissions. You may choose to submit your manuscript as a single Word

or PDF file to be used in the refereeing process. Only when your paper

is at the revision stage, will you be requested to put your paper in to a

'correct format' for acceptance and provide the items required for the

publication of your article.

Introduction

Advances

in Ophthalmology Practice and Research (AOPR) is an English-language,

scientific, peer-reviewed, international, online, and fully open-access

journal. The Journal publishes clinical and basic research articles in

various subspecialties of ophthalmology and related interdisciplinary

and translational medicine fields, including reporting advanced

eye-related technologies. AOPR provides a platform for ophthalmic

clinicians and scientists to contribute to the development of

ophthalmology-related scientific research, progress clinical diagnosis

and treatment technology in ophthalmology, and ultimately contribute to

the improvement of overall health.

Article Types

Submissions are divided into the Article Types listed below. Please select the appropriate Article Type to start the submission.

Commentaries:

Articles designed to allow experts from across ophthalmology to present

their view on a 'hot topic' or emerging field. Comments offer insight

and debate.

No abstract; a 350-word unstructured abstract is required for editors'/reviewers' view only and will not be published

Maximum word count: 1,000

Reference limit: 10

Maximum number of tables/figures: 2

Maximum number of authors: 5

Includes correspondence

Letters

to the Editor: Letters to Editor is a special form to present the most

critical and important opinion/fast-data/perspective. Letters to the

Editor allow concise commentary about an article published in AOPR

within 6 months of its online posting. Letters to the Editor may be

edited for clarity and length by the editorial office.

Maximum word count: 1000

Reference limit: 10(please include article being addressed)

Maximum number of tables/figures: 2

Maximum number of authors: 3

Original Research Papers: Includes clinical and basic research full length articles

Structured abstract: 350 words(Objective/Background/Purposes, Methods, Results, Conclusions)

Maximum word count: No limit

Reference limit: No limit

Maximum number of tables/figures: 10

Review

Articles: Systematic reviews of research and meta-analyses that may be

submitted to the journal or invited by the Editors. Reviews undergo the

normal peer review process of the journal.

Completed PRISMA Checklist

Structured abstract (include applicable sections, per PRISMA Checklist): 350 words (Background, Main Text, Conclusions)

Maximum word count: 6000

Reference limit: 100

Maximum number of tables/figures: 10
