About the position

4 PhD tuition fee positions in Civil and Structural Engineering

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Strathclyde is now welcoming students to apply for PhD positions. We have a doctoral training centre aimed at training high-skilled PhD students able to develop novel digital technologies for improving the resilience and sustainability of our infrastructures. The Centre for Intelligent infrastructure (CII) is now recruiting 4 PhD students in Civil Engineering to conduct the research in the following areas:

? Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Engineering

? Structural Health Monitoring

? Steel and Composite Structures, Structural Fire

? Sustainable software and collaborative development

The funding is for Tuition Fee and Stipend for Home/EU students but can cover tuition fees for International Students. The students will be part of the Centre for Intelligent infrastructure (CII) and they will be part of a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team. PhD students will receive subject-specific training via dedicated workshops, webinars and lectures provided by industrial and academic supervisors.

You are required to have IELTS tests no less than 6.0 with 5.5 in each component of reading, writing, listening and speaking. You should have a first-class undergraduate degree or MSc degree with good knowledge in related areas above.
