Proposed studies focus on the role of ciliary genes in stem cell homeostasis, bone and cartilage development and diseases. Studies involve in vivo assessment of stem cell lineage commitment and bone cell activity using transgenic and conditional knockout mouse models. The successful candidate must be highly motivated with strong research capabilities to independently design and carry out the experiments.
The ideal candidate should have a recent PhD or equivalent degree in Biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology and/or bone biology with experience in studying cell signaling and gene knockout mouse models. Research experience in bone biology and bioinformatic analysis is encouraged, but not essential.
Interested applicants should submit their CV and a brief statement of research interests and accomplishments and three references' contacts by email to: shuyingy@upenn.edu
