All JAIR articles are open access. JAIR began publishing in 1993, and helped pioneer the "Diamond Open Access" model on the Web. The journal is community-supported -- articles are freely available and no publication fees are charged to authors.
There is no charge to submit a paper, nor are there any any publication fees once an article is accepted.
