If you choose to publish open access in this journal you may be asked to pay an Article Publishing Charge (APC). You may be able to publish your article at no cost to yourself or with a reduced APC if your institution or research funder has an open access agreement or membership with Taylor & Francis.

If you choose not to publish open access in this journal, there is no APC.
Page Charges
Page charges of ZAR200 (excl. VAT) per page for African contributors and USD17 per page for contributors from elsewhere are levied. Page charges are waived for lead authors who are paid SASAqS members. Non-members who do not have access to funding to cover the publication costs may apply to the Editor-in-Chief to have their page charges waived. Illustrations can be reproduced in colour, but only when essential, and subject to approval by the Editor-in-Chief. Non-essential use of colour will be charged at ZAR900 (excl. VAT) per page for African contributors and USD75 per page for contributors from elsewhere.
