All articles accepted for publication in Acta of Bioengineering and Biomechanics are subject to an Article Processing Charge (APC). The APC covers the costs of editorial handling, peer review, copyediting, proofreading, online hosting, long-term archiving, and the continued development of the journal.
Articles submitted before June 15th, 2026: €600 EURO (gross)
Articles submitted after June 15th, 2026: €600 EURO (+ 23% VAT if applicable)
There are no submission fees, no charges for rejected articles, and no surcharges based on article length, number of figures, or supplementary materials.
Taxes: Local VAT or sales tax will be added, where applicable.
