Authors have the option to make their paper Open Access (free to anyone with an internet connection) for a fee of US$2990. Members of the Wilson Ornithological Society receive a 25% discount on Open Access charges, reducing the fee to US$2242.50.
Authors do pay fees if they need figures printed in color in the print version of the journal
Color figures will be reproduced in color in your online article free of charge. If it is necessary for the figures to be reproduced in color in the print version, a charge will apply.
Charges for color figures in print are $400 US per figure. For more than 4 color figures, figures 5 and above will be charged at $75 US. Depending on your location, these charges may be subject to local taxes.
